Your adventure from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara Desert sounds absolutely enchanting! The journey promises a rich tapestry of experiences, blending cultural immersion with the breathtaking landscapes of southern Morocco.
In 6 days from fez to the desert, after breakfast we leave for Midelt via Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco. We will arrive at the Azrou forest where we will stop to enjoy watching the monkeys as they climb the cedars. We will then continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Midelt and accommodation in hotel.
We have breakfast and drive through the Ziz valley and its gorges to Errachidia, reaching the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of fossils. Then we will go to Merzouga, where the day will be dedicated to appreciate the peace of the desert. Hotel accommodation near the dunes .
After breakfast we will start the great route of the dunes, passing through many desert villages, one of them is the village of Khamlia where we will stop to enjoy the Gnawa music and then continue the route visiting the desert nomads in their haimas, we will discover a new sense of life … In the afternoon we will climb on camels to spend the night in the middle of the dunes under a nomadic haima.
We will get up early to see the beautiful sunrise and to climb the dunes, then we will ride the camels back to the hotel where we will have breakfast. continue to the Toldra Gorges via Rissani where we will stop to visit its traditional Souk which is considered the largest in all of Southern Morocco, we will continue to the Toldra Gorges. We will have breakfast and walk a little between the Gorges before continuing to the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, the Valley of the Oasis of Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate and accommodation in Riad.
