Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou- Ouarzazat – boumaln

Drive to ait ben haddou kasbah and get Ready for a walking tour throughout the walls of this old ksar site has been defended since the Almoravid dynasty in the 11th century, at the moment famous for making Hollywood Movies like Gladiator, games of Thrones, the kingdom of Heaven.enjoy your lunch at this historical place. after continuing to Ouarzazate where you can visit the Movies studios. drive along the palm grove of Skoura. Get To Dades Gorges (canyons), a series of steep wadi gorges divided out by Morocco’s Dades River. The river starts in the Atlas Mountains. Spend the night in one of the best accommodations in the area.
Day 2 : Boumaln Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga- Erg chebbi dunes
Wake up in the morning have a delicelicios breakfast at your Riad and get ready for another day on your Moroccan Desert Tour. drive Toward Tinghir Palm grove valley where you will stop for some nice pictures of the Oasis. Have a walk in Todra Gorges (300 m high) a chain of limestone river canyons connected with Dades Gorges, a very Famous place for Mountain climbers. we’ll head east to the Sahara Desert, stopping for lunch in a nice Traditional Restaurant. Early wake up to enjoy The Beautiful Sky colors changing during the sunrise, have breakfast and pack your bags and leave the dunes behind, either on camels or by 4×4. get To the mean Rout in Merzouga start driving head to Rissani the famous market town, and visit what Local People Call the Donkeys parking. visit the old mousouley of Molay ali charif a cultural area. the Tour Continue Trought nkob and Alnif (sens in the film ‘Babel’) and Nkob, passing more oases and traditional old villages of Draa Valley. Continue to Agdz and drive through the anti-atlas mountains by Tizi-n-Tinfifite pass 1600m.,get To Ouarzazate where you will stop For Lunch.

Hassan was recommended by a friend who was in Morocco like 3 years ago. We were looking for a driver but he end up helping us plan our whole trip. Everything he suggested was always the best. Hassan always showed a high level of respect, good organization skill and knowledge of what we needed. He assigned us a driver Hassiin, who was polite, respectful, and friendly. He was awesome! He was with us from the moment we landed at the Tangier airport until our departure from Marrakech. This was a private tour for the 5 of us and we visited Tangier, Asilah, Rabat, Casablanca, and finishing in Marrakech…

We contacted Mohammed on the recommendation of a friend who has toured with his brother Hassan twice. We said how long we were going for and what sites we particularly wanted to see and Mohammed planned everything including accommodation and meals. He met us at the airport and took us for lunch at a local place with a very nice and cheap tagine. We travelled over a thousand kilometres through the mountains and the desert and back to Marrakech.
I would recommend visiting Marrakech at the end, as we did, and I don’t think you need to spend more than a day and a night really. The tour we went on (that Mohammed arranged) was very nice and informative and parts of Marrakech are very relaxing however it’s a busy city and it can be quite stressful, especially when you have just got used to the peace of the desert and mountains!
