This incredible adventure that takes you from Fes to Marrakech is a truly unforgettable four-day journey that will see you traversing the vast expanse of the Sahara desert and delving deep into the heart of Morocco’s south. Along the way, you’ll be treated to a myriad of experiences that showcase the very best this captivating region has to offer. From spending a night in a traditional Bedouin desert tent and riding camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes to exploring stunning cedar woods, magnificent gorges, verdant valleys, and picturesque oases, you’ll get a taste of the spectacular diversity of southern Morocco. You’ll also have the chance to discover UNESCO world heritage sites, visit awe-inspiring Kasbahs, and marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the High Atlas Mountains. Day 1 : Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today we have a full travel day through the diverse landscapes that make Morocco so unique. Pass through the cedar and pine forests, keeping an eye out for Barbary apes. Pass over the Middle Atlas Mountains through the pre-desert countryside with its deep gorges filled with a splendid oasis of green palm groves, finally arriving at the dunes of the Sahara Desert. We spend the night in a desert auberge ( hotel), located right on the edge of the dunes. Here we will have dinner local-style and spend the night. Overnight in Merzouga.
Today we explore the Merzouga desert and the guided tour includes the visit of Khamlia village,famous for desert music Gnawa. We may visit the museum of cars, the local museum in Hassi Labiad. During this day we may rent quad (buggies) to explore the desert in an adventurous way. Later today we meet Nomad people living in the Sahara desert. We will sleep in Merzouga desert camp, in a desert tent.
Day 3 : Erg chebbi dunes – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Departure to Ouarzazate via Rissani, the origin of the Alawi dynasty, the souk, and numerous kasbah. Then we will follow the road to the village of ALNIF for lunch. Then continue through the beautiful valley of the Draa. In the evening arrive at Ouarzazate, where we enjoy a delicious dinner and a rest.
Day 4 : Ouarzazat – Ait ben haddou – Telouet – Marrakech
On our last day of adventure, we will arrive in Marrakech not without first visiting the Glaoui Kasbah of Telouet which began being built in the 18th century. It has subsequently been the subject of improvements and extensions and today it is a paradigmatic building of the stately construction of the Kingdom of Morocco. In the early afternoon, we will conclude the trip with the arrival in Marrakech and will end Our handmade Luxury Sahara tour from Marrakech.
