DAY 2

Marrakech Guided City Tour

After breakfast at the riad, start a guided tour of Marrakech, the ‘Red City’ of Morocco. Your guide will show you the Koutoubia Minaret, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Koranic School, walking through the medina to admire artisans at work before reaching Jamaa el Fna Square. After lunch, visit the Majorelle Gardens and take a small tour of Gueliz, the new part of Marrakech.

DAY 3

Trip from Marrakech to Essaouira

Departure at 8:30 to the Atlantic coast, passing through Ounagha to Essaouira, 170km from Marrakech. Essaouira is an exceptional example of a fortified late-18th-century city and was a major trading port linking Morocco with Europe and the wider world. After lunch at the port, explore the medina, the old Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Skala, and the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Museum, before returning to Marrakech for the night.

DAY 4

Free Day in Marrakech

A free day to explore Marrakech at your own pace.

DAY 5

Marrakech – Rabat – Fes

DAY 6

Fes Guided City Tour

After breakfast, we tour the ancient Medina with an official local guide, visiting the souks, the entrance to the Royal Palace, the Karaouine Mosque, and the 9th-century university. We visit the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II, the city’s founder, then continue after lunch to the Nejjarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden, and the Batha Museum, with a panoramic view of the city on the way back.

DAY 7

Fes Day Trip to Meknes

After breakfast, a day tour of Meknes including Bab El Mansour square, the Royal Granaries, and the city wall, continuing via Volubilis to see the Roman ruins, and Moulay Idriss, the holy pilgrimage site where the founder of Morocco’s first dynasty is buried, before returning to Fes.

DAY 8

Fes – Ouazan – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, drive to Chefchaouen, a city with a secret, mysterious history that once repelled Portuguese incursions and was closed to Europeans until Spanish troops arrived in 1920. The afternoon is yours for your first contact with the blue city.

DAY 9

Chefchaouen – Tangier – Casablanca

Drive to Tangier, an unofficial cultural capital for writers and artists worldwide, located on the Strait of Gibraltar just 15km from the Spanish coast. With 2,500 years of history, Tangier’s medina, kasbah, and souks are among the liveliest in the country. We continue on to Casablanca for the night.
